Huntington Beach,
Calif. --If you wander through downtown
Huntington Beach,
you'll be amazed by the new stores that have
opened recently. In addition to a new
Shorebreak Hotel, new stores, and a CVS,
you'll find a healthy addition to the dessert
faire, from a family that loves kids! Mangiamo
Gelato Caffe is serving up the Italian-style
treat that's sweet, cold, and less fattening
than traditional ice cream deserts.
Mangiamo Gelato
Caffe recently opened to the summer season with
70% less fat and calories than regular ice
cream, which is something most of us can
appreciate. Owned by the Hoxsie family, you may
have heard of them through their involvement in
The Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Valley.
Bob Hoxsie, who
runs the new store in downtown Huntington Beach
Director of the Boys & Girls Club. His wife,
Tanya Hoxsie, is the CEO who not only helped the
club grow into a new location, but oversaw the
expansion and new facility on the campus of
Golden West College in Huntington Beach.
The powerhouse
team loves kids, community, and they work hard
at making it a better world for all to enjoy.
Throughout the years fundraising campaigns have
been one of the great sources to help finance
the growing nonprofit clubs that are needed in
every community where there are kids. You've
never seen a fundraising effort till you
attend one of the annual dinners that the
Hoxsies help put together, raising several
hundred-thousand dollars in a single evening!
There's no
finer family in the community, and no better
cause than helping our youth. Support the new
store, and help those who have helped others in
countless ways!
