First Bank in Downtown Huntington Beach on Main Street next to the vegetarian restaurant, Bodhi Tree, is offering a free bag for your grocery shopping. When we heard last week  that at least one store in Southern California with eco-conscious policies is charging for grocery bags, we decided it was time to start the BYOB  (bring your own bag).

If you happen to visit Huntington Beach, California for the Surf City Nights or U.S. Open of Surfing that starts this week, print the coupon and get there before the bank closes to get your free bag. You can use it at Surf City Nights to buy the vegetables and fruits sold at their farmers market, or store your loot that they hand out at the US Open Beach Camp and Surfers Village* next weekend. *No, you don’t get to camp at the beach…it’s just set up like a village with tents offering everything from a place to hang out and play video games, to watching promos for the latest tv shows.
