25 Degrees Launches in Downtown Huntington
Beach
Huntington Beach, CA--First
there was the Nathan's Hot Dog Contest held this
month. Now, 25 Degrees, a trendy new Burger &
Wine Bar, is hosting it’s 1st Annual Burger
Battle of the Badges, burger eating contest, on
Friday, July 31, 2009.
The local HB and
region police departments will compete with the
HB local Fire Departments & local Marine Safety
officers, in an all out Burger Battle. Reps from
each organization will eat as many delicious
hamburgers as they can to raise money for their
selected charities. Teams of 6 representatives
each hamburgers, and for each one eaten, 25
Degrees will donate $10 per burger with proceeds
provided to the charities. Each member of a
winning team will also receive a gift
certificate for two at any of the 4 locations 25
Degrees has to offer, Huntington Beach,
Hollywood, Phoenix or Beijing, China.
25 Degrees, whose clever name refers to the
temperature difference between a medium rare and
well-done burger, is bringing it’s swanky style
to Huntington Beach and will officially open to
the public on Saturday, August 1st, 2009. 25
Degrees adds an upscale twist to the traditional
burger joint, with it’s playful “Bordello meets
burger bar” attitude, offering decadent burger
toppings, a stellar wine list, as well as a full
bar including specialty cocktails and adult
inspired milkshakes, such as the Famous Guinness
Milkshake.
Tim Goodell, owner of Domaine Restaurants, said
the company opened its first restaurant in 1991
in Orange County and is proud to be a
community-involved partner at 25 Degrees.
