Huntington
Beach 4th of July Parade is held Downtown
4th of July Committee, under the direction of Patricia
Stier, honors the city’s Centennial Celebration by
adding special incentives for parade sponsors. The 2009
Official 4th of July Souvenir Program will be placed
in the city’s Time Capsule, to be opened in 2109. This
keepsake will become a legacy for the 4th of July
Parade. Sponsors and participants’ contributions will
live on and be added to the rich history of Huntington
Beach.
The Celebration series of
events include the early morning Surf City 5K Run and
Fitness Expo, Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast in Lake Park,
the 4th of July Parade on Main Street, Pier Plaza Expo
(July 3-5) and Fireworks Over the Ocean.
Parade Grand Marshal will
be the reigning Miss America 2009. Sponsors may have an
opportunity to participate in special activities
featuring Miss America. Through the generous
support of Time Warner Cable and KOCE TV, Mr. Ed Arnold
and Ms. Ann Marie Hall will once again announce the
parade which will be rebroadcast over KOCE. CD’s of the
Parade will be available along with 4th of July
merchandise and memorabilia. Sponsors, vendors and
entertainment are being sought for the Pier Plaza Expo
which will run for 3 days, July 3-5. For information
