Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade is held Downtown

4th of July Committee, under the direction of Patricia Stier, honors the city’s Centennial Celebration by adding special incentives for parade sponsors. The 2009 Official 4th of July Souvenir Program will be placed
in the city’s Time Capsule, to be opened in 2109. This keepsake will become a legacy for the 4th of July Parade. Sponsors and participants’ contributions will live on and be added to the rich history of Huntington Beach.

The Celebration series of events include the early morning Surf City 5K Run and Fitness Expo, Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast in Lake Park, the 4th of July Parade on Main Street, Pier Plaza Expo (July 3-5) and Fireworks Over the Ocean.

Parade Grand Marshal will be the reigning Miss America 2009. Sponsors may have an opportunity to participate in special activities featuring Miss America.

Through the generous support of Time Warner Cable and KOCE TV, Mr. Ed Arnold and Ms. Ann Marie Hall will once again announce the parade which will be rebroadcast over KOCE. CD’s of the Parade will be available along with 4th of July merchandise and memorabilia. Sponsors, vendors and entertainment are being sought for the Pier Plaza Expo
